‘Humma Humma’ song from Mani Ratnam’s cult movie ‘Bombay’ is one of those from the 90s that is still being crooned and played by everyone on the loop. Now Ratnam’s protégé, Shaad Ali, has reprised this old melody for his upcoming youthful romance flick ‘Ok Jaanu’.
Interestingly, the music of Bombay was composed by the maestro AR Rahman, and so does the music of Ok Jaanu here. However, director Shaad Ali has roped in sensational singer-rapper Badshah in his movie for to revisit ‘Humma Humma’ song, replacing the much-loved singer Parandhu Sellava from the original.
Meanwhile, the reprised version of this extremely sensuous song indeed stands out, where the entire credit goes to its brilliant choreography and realistic picturisation with some charismatic chemistry formed by the lead star cast, along with in tandem with the original. I believe this particular reprised version will certainly make it to the top in music charts. It’s a total fun song!
Starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in lead, whose charismatic chemistry we all have already witnessed in Aashiqui 2, the movie also stars Naseeruddin Shah in an important role. ‘Ok Jaanu’ is all set to release in theatres on January 13, 2016.
