Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, who was the showstopper for Falguni Shane Peacock’s new bridal couture collection at FDCI India Couture Week 2020 on Tuesday evening, was a sight to behold as she appeared in a spectacular red lehenga. Reds are a classic pick for Indian brides and Shraddha Kapoor once again proved that a red lehenga is something that will forever remain a bridal favourite. Her bridal look was bridal dreams come true, complete with all the shimmer and sparkles for a showstopping look.
Shraddha Kapoor wore a bridal red, raw silk lehenga with fuschia pink and emerald green silk metal thread work details. The lehenga was embroidered in gold and adorned with crystals, stones and beads sequins. It also featured floral and elephant motifs and baroque detailing. The ensemble was styled with a handcrafted blouse with grid work and a red tulle dupatta with scallop borders and tassels.

Shraddha Kapoor’s bridal look was from designers Falguni Shane Peacock’s ‘Marry Me in Jaipur’ new couture collection, which is heavily inspired by the rich tapestry of heritage, culture, architectural marvels, abundant flora and fauna of the marvel that is Jaipur – the Pink City. It was unveiled virtually at India Couture Week 2020 via a self-directed fashion film called Spectacle Privé that took viewers behind the scenes to witness the intrinsic effort put into every aspect of creation presented in each look.
Shraddha Kapoor’s lehenga looks are always a treat to her fans as she picks unique pieces that set style goals instantly. Remember the time when she had us all loving green as she glammed up in a stunning lehenga by Anita Dongre? Shraddha wore a deep green embroidered Anita Dongre lehenga which had long sleeves, flowing skirt and matching dupatta. Her hair was pulled back in a half updo hairstyle, a tiny bindi dotted her forehead and she complemented her outfit with Pink City by Anita Dongre jewellery.
Pink hues are as much loved in Indian wear as classic reds. And with pastels being a trend, delicate pinks are a preferred choice. Shraddha Kapoor had made a chic case for pink lehengas in 2019 when for an event in Mumbai, she wore a dreamy floral lehenga by Manish Malhotra that featured intricate embroidery and embellishments.
